how are you, I'm just writing to let you know we are big fans of Darryl
Sittler. My father especially, my dad always talks about the great
Darryl Sittler and how well he did playing with the leafs. My name
is Darryl Grenier and to show you what kind of a fan he is for example:
I am currently 28 years old born March 22 1976, your 10 point game was
February 1976, after that game I guess he knew what he was going to call
me. But anyway just wanted to let you in on that little story.
Thanks for making our Toronto Maple Leafs as popular as they are today.

Hi! I was looking for a website
on Darryl Sittler and came across yours. Darryl was my favourite hockey
player and still is. I am a big fan of the Leafs and hopefully this is
the year we go all the way. I have his name and number on my left hand
hockey glove. I cried when they lifted the banner in recognition of Darryl
and his late wife's name at the corner of the banner. I still remember
watching TV that night Darryl got his ten points, man, even Gretzky couldn't
have that one. Great website on Darryl and keep up the good work!

Hi! My boyfriend (Keith Wilson)
and I were at the Leafs game last night sitting just a few seats away from
you. He was really pleased to see you there and told me that you
have always been his hockey "hero". In 1970, when Keith was about
9 years old and very active in hockey, he went to a Maple Leafs practice
with Bobby Baun, who was his neighbour at the time. After the practice,
Keith and Bobby's son Greg got a tour of the locker room. You were on a
gurney having your wrist looked at and you spent quite a bit of time talking
to Keith about the game and his involvement, etc. - it really impressed
him. You gave him your hockey stick, which he still has. You
likely don't remember the meeting, but I thought you might like to know
that your kindness was never forgotten.

Dear Mr Sittler - As Toronto
Maple Leaf fans, my husband and I have always admired you as a hockey player
and a role model. When we learned of Mrs Sittler's illness we felt saddened,
and also glad that my husband insisted a few years ago that he be
screened for colon cancer.
